There are many 3M films solutions available to choose from depending on a customer's wants, needs, and budget. During our consultation with the customer, we determine which solution best fits all these factors. We then schedule an installation date convenient for the customer.
On installation day, the 3M Film solution chosen by customer is brought onsite along with specialized window film installation tools. The first step in the installation process is to prepare the window areas for application such as placing drop cloths on the floor, protecting and/or moving furniture where necessary. Please note that 3M films are almost exclusively professionally applied by skilled and authorized 3M Dealers such as Advanced Window Films. Almost all of our film solutions are designed to be applied to the inside of your glass. Film is professionally cut on-site to fit each window. We next clean your window areas with special window cleaning solution and blades. We thoroughly wash glass areas several times to make sure they are as clean as possible and ready for application. Film product is then wet applied using the right solution. We finalize the installation procedure using a professional grade squeegee and then allow the window areas to properly dry. During the drying process, the Window film undergoes final touches and a quality control check based on our 30+ years of expertise in window film application to ensure the highest quality workmanship and proper long lasting application of the customer's window tint investment.
3M Sun Control Films are designed to reduce the amount of solar heat transmission through window glass by increasing the solar reflection (not necessarily visible reflection) and solar absorption through the glass.Typical colored or dyed films work primarily through increased absorption. The color absorbs the solar energy at the glass, thus reducing the direct transmission into the room. These films are not as effective as reflective films for reducing heat.Reflective films are films that have been precision coated with metals. These metallized films are designed to increase the solar energy reflection of the glass. 3M reflective films range from moderate to excellent in solar performance (heat gain reduction). All 3M Sun Control Films are made to be transparent and optically clear. The ultraviolet protection is built into the adhesive system to provide longevity to the film as well as provide UV protection for your home and office furnishings. Most 3M Window Films are protected with 3M's abrasion resistant coating that provides long-term durability and maintained appearance.

Trust: 3M is the most trusted name for quality products and service, it's a household name. Also, they invented window film in 1966 so they really know what they are doing. The service given by 3M we felt was the best out there. Anytime we had a question or concern, they were there, period.
Warranty: What good is a warranty from a company that won't be around in 10 years? 3M is a solid global multi-billion dollar company backing up their warranty. They offered the best Window Seal-Failure Warranty too. Let's say you have a new home with Pella or Alpine Windows with a 10 year, 20 year or even Lifetime Window Seal-Failure Warranty, 3M will "take over" that Window Seal-Failure warranty for 10, 20 years up to lifetime! It's a win-win situation. Now nobody can say, "Don't put window tint on your Glass, it will void the warranty". So what? 3M will take over with their "Platinum Select" warranty.
Selection: Also unlike other films we have tried, 3M had no restrictions on Residential applications, we didn't have to worry, "can I put this film on this window or not? What about LowE glass etc...?" They were all fine.
Looks: The selection of films was really the best choice for Beauty/Performance. 3M's Night Vision and Prestige films are the prettiest films to look through, clearly the best.
Exclusivity: The 3M Distributor in Denver and owner of Advanced Window Films knew each other since the 80's and he trusted him enough to offer us to be the Only "3M Prestige Dealer" in Southern New Mexico. It was a business decision/opportunity we couldn't pass up.
Yes, it's not cheap film, it costs a little more, but since we were strictly Residential/Commercial and not Automotive, we could offer the best film at a competitive price.
